HOW TO PLAY ROULETTE

Before starting to play Roulette it is important to be aware of the rules and the different betting options that this game has. First of all, we should emphasize that there are two types of roulette. European and American. Let's see the difference and how it all works.

European and American Roulette Differences

The most popular casino game, Roulette, is divided into European and American Roulette. The main difference is that the European has a '0' symbol, while the American has two, '0' and '00'. Their common course is that the numbers shown are from 1 to 36.

How to play Roulette

Once we have chosen what kind of roulette we will play, we sit at the table which has a predetermined layout (either land-based or virtual online). At one end is the roulette wheel and the croupier, who is also the only one allowed to be next to it and touch the ball.

In traditional casinos the table itself is covered in a green felt with boxes and stand for bets. Each number is either black or red, while the 0 and 00 (in American roulette) numbers are green. This is also the area where players place their bets.
The dealer is the one who turns the roulette wheel in one direction and throws the ball in the opposite direction. The roulette wheel positions are numbered from 1 to 36. From 1 to 10 and from 19 to 28, the even numbers are red and the odd numbers are black. From 11 to 18 and from 29 to 36, the even numbers are black and the odds are red.

With regard to the differences between the two types of roulette, as mentioned above in French there is a green position with the number 0, while in the American there is a second green position with the number 00. The order in which the numbers are placed on the roulette wheel is the same worldwide.

Specifically, and in the order of the clock markers, the sequence of roulette numbers is as follows:

European Roulette: 0-32-15-19-4-21-2-25-17-34-6-27-13-36-11-30-8-23-10-5-24-16-33-1 -20-14-31-9-22-18-29-7-28-12-35-3-26

American Roulette: 0-28-9-26-30-11-7-20-32-17-5-22-34-15-3-24-36-13-1-00-27-10-25-29 -12-8-19-31-18-6-21-33-16-4-23-35-14-2
However, the European and French Roulette also have an additional place for additional bets or "announced bets" also known as "French bets" which looks as follows:

Types of Bets

The main bets that players can choose are the following: Choose which number the ball will sit on, to choose between black or red and whether the number will be odd or even. In addition, roulette bets are divided into two categories: inside and outside. Inside are bets on which the player bets on a set of numbers, up to six. Outside are called those in which the bet is placed on a set of 12 numbers, as well as the colour to come out and whether the number is odd or even.

Inside bets are more profitable (ie, higher profits) and are:

Straight: When the bet is placed on a single number only. The chip is placed exactly on the number and in the box containing it.

Split: When betting on two "adjacent" numbers. The chip is placed on the line separating them.

Trinity or Street: The bet on a horizontal line with three numbers. The chip is placed on the edge of the line and on the outer number line.

Corner: The bet on four numbers that border on each other. The chip is placed right in the center of the quadrilateral, where the lines intersect the boxes surrounding the numbers.

Six Line: The bet on six numbers on two consecutive rows. The chip is placed on the edge of the two lines so that it adjoins both lines.

Trio: A three-number bet that includes the zero or zeros. The chips is placed on the line shared by the zero box and the two other numbers.

Basket: Bet on 0, 1, 2 and 3 with a chip on the corner shared by the zero box and the first line. In American Roulette, obvioulsy it includes the double zero.

Outside bets are more likely to be confirmed than inside bets, but their returns, ie the profits they make, are lower.

They are divided into the following categories:

1 to 18: Bet on the numbers from 1 to 18. The chip is placed on the special box marked 1-18.

19-36: Bet on the numbers from one 19 to 36. The chip is placed on the special box marked 19-36.

Black or Red: The bet is on the colour, black or red, which will be one or the other to win. The chip is placed on two particularly large squares with the corresponding colours. If "0" and "00" come in, players who have made their bets on any of such colour lose their money.

Odd or Even: Bet on odd or even numbers. The chip is placed on the corresponding squares marked Odd or Even.

Dozen : The bet is on a dozen, the first (1-12), the second (13-24) or the third (25-36). The chip is placed on the respective boxes: 1st Dozen, 2nd Dozen and 3rd Dozen.

Columns: The bet is on vertical columns covering all of its numbers. The chip is placed at the bottom of the column, just below the numbers 34, 35 and 36.
